ciao ragazzi stasera ho l'onore di presentarvi un macroesponente della micromusic, sicuramente il mio preferito. dalla prima volta che l'ho ascoltato è stato subito amore, la mia traccia preferita: ajavar relish (che sto ascoltando anche in questomomento:). io x le sonorità sid, come ho già detto, ho un amore particolare, essendo commodore la mia consolle dell'infanzia, cm potrei nn amare quest'artista che su questo magico e caldo chip, ha fondato la sua ricerca musicale? il commodore è sicuramente il suo preferito, ma nn l'unico mezzo della sua sperimentazione , ma di questo lascio che sia stesso lui a parlarne (visto che ha accettato di farlo;), signore e signori: mister GOTO 80

Ho cominciato a fare musica con un amiga 500 nel 1992, dopo aver visto mio fratello più grande e i suoi amici fare chip music con il commodore 64, da lì non mi sono mai + fermato.

Oggi uso amiga 1200, c64, gameboy, pc e altri strumenti come yamaha pss21, casio sk-1, remote25, bontempi b1... ed ho anche altre cose come vic20, c128, sx-64, dragon-32, atari 520, zx spectrum+, abc80, c64cs, amiga500 blablabla.
colleziono computer e videogame da quando ero piccolo, ma, in generale usavo piu'attrezzatura prima, ma questo non importa molto. In realtà non sono un purista del low-fi, ma mi piace molto il sound del SID.

Non so realmente cosa sia la micromusic, ne so di piu' su micromusic.net, che del genere in se. Penso che tutti questi nomi - chip music, chiptune, bitpop. micromusic, vgm, etc, sono come una sorta di " Melting togheter" , nessuno sa cosa siano in realtà, ahah !. "Bleeps and old machines and shit?! Solitamente sono un cultore dell'hardcore ed ero completamente contro qualunque cosa non fosse pura, (c64, gameboy, cellulari, giocattoli, tastierine, campanelli) emulati e così via. Penso che i generi musicali servano alla gente per orientarsi meglio nel mondo della musica. Ma detto questo, mi piace ancora chi rimane coerente con il proprio percorso e non scende a compromessi con niente. Trovo un pò noiosi tutti questi miscugli psudo post-moderni :)

i started making music on my amiga 500 in 1992. my older brother and the boys in my neighbourhood were making chip music and were into C64, so i got into it aswell. and well, since then i've never stopped really. :) today i use amiga1200, c64, gameboy, pc and some other stuff like yamaha pss21, casio sk-1, remote25, bontempi b1... i also have alot of old shit like vic20, c128, sx-64, dragon32, atari520, zx spectrum+, abc80, c64gs, amiga500, game&watches, sord, blablabla. i used to collect old computers and videogames when i was younger. but, yeah, in general i was more into gear before, but nowadays i don't really care as much. i'm not a real lo-tech purist anymore, but i still prefer a fresh and pure sound off the SID-chip.

i don't really know what micromusic is. :) to me, i think more about micromusic.net than a musical genre. but all these names - chip music, chiptune, bitpop, micromusic, vgm, etc - are sort of melting together i guess, since noone really knows what they are, haha. bleeps and old machines and shit?! i used to be a hardcore purist and i was totally against anything else than pure, authentic chip music (ie, no emulators, no additional instruments..). now, i think that these are just words anyway and there's no point in separating "authentic" chip music (c64? gameboy? mobile phones? toys? keyboards? door bells?) from emulated things or whatever. music genres are there to make it more easy for people in general to navigate in the music world, i think. but with that said, i still really like people who stick to their path, and are not compromising anything at all. all these postmodern mixing bla-bla is a bit tiresome.. :)

i'm actually writing an (academic) text about chip music right now. it will probably be published in a book after the summer of 2007 i think. stay tuned at gamessound
